Arriving from Port Adelaide on the back end of the 2017 season as a trade swap for Brad Ebert, Ah Chee had a delayed start to his Eagles career playing 8 games in 2018 and just a single game in 2019. He was then placed on the rookie list for 2020 along with Hamish Brayshaw, with the pair being promised to be re-drafted if they remained available.

And the Eagles backroom staff kept their word, with the decision having paid off this season. The fast-running half-forward reinvented himself in 2020 and took his game to new heights, making 16 appearances for the West Coast, scoring 6 goals during the season.

Ah Chee has cemented himself in the half-forward line this year, alongside Jack Darling who looks to have taken Ah Chee under his wing. The forward’s contract is set to run out at the end of the 2021 season, after having penned a new deal late last year.
