Arriving at the West Coast in the summer of 2017, speed demon Petruccelle was the Eagles’ fifth selection in the 2017 draft. Slotting in at the flank and on the wing, Petruccelle made 3 appearances in his rookie season, playing the majority of the year for East Perth in the WAFL. He made his debut in round 6 in the Western Derby and went on to play against Port Adelaide the week after where he kicked two goals before being sidelined with an ankle injury.

Petruccelle had a ripper of a 2019, making 20 appearances and scoring 21 goals in his second season with the club. The player most notably put 5 goals past Port Adelaide in round 5 while clocking up 18 disposals during that game. He booted one goal for the Eagles against the Cats in the 2019 finals, but this wasn’t enough to push the Coast into the next round.

But his 2020 season was a little quieter. The 21-year-old made only six appearances and scored just 2 goals for the West Coast during the COVID interrupted season.

But despite clocking up minimal game time, he played an integral role in the Eagles’ backs against the wall win over St Kilda that saw him make 11 disposals and 4 inside 50s.

He was subsequently awarded a new contract at the end of 2020 and will remain at the club until the summer of 2023.
