Full forward Oscar Allen made his debut for the Eagles in round 16 of the 2018 season against GWS.
The 21-year-old hails from Perth and played junior footy for Whitford Junior Football club while playing for West Perth in the WAFL in 2016.
Although described as a versatile utility player, Allen’s superior height and safe hands make him a great target man in the West Coast forwards line. Many have likened the young player to St Kilda’s Nick Riewoldt and looks to take over the full forward position with Josh Kennedy likely to retire in the coming years.
Impressed with Allen’s work rate and goal-scoring abilities, Eagles selectors made him a mainstay during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. And Allen did not disappoint, scoring 21 goals in 20 games for the Eagles in 2019 while also taking 75 marks during the season.
Continuing to perform in 2020, Allen stepped up his game and shared in ruck duties with Nic Naitanui and Bailey Williams, making 66 hit outs during the 2020 season.
Allen is locked in for two more seasons with the West Coast, after signing a three-year deal in 2019.
